Mt Snow In The Off Season

posted in: Activities | 0

Mount Snow is obviously the big Winter attraction for the area but many people don’t know the activities they have available in the off season as well.

Scenic Chair Lift Rides

For those with young kids or those just looking to get some great views and a relaxing ride, you can take the Bluebird Express chair lift to the summit.  The top lodge is open most days where you can get lunch or just a cold brew on the deck. For more information and the lift schedule, click here.

Hike the Mountain

If you’re looking for a little exercise, you can hike up the mountain to the summit.  There are two marked trails you can take up.  The yellow trail is mostly the service road the staff uses to get to the top.  It’s mostly a gravel surface and winds it’s way up taking a 2.4 mile path.  The alternate path is more direct but also steeper.  The pink blazed trail winds through the woods and the intermediate trails on the face of the mountain taking a 1.8 mile path.  Both will bring you out at the same location near the top lodge.  If you hike up and choose to take the chair lift down, the mountain does not charge you for the ride!!

Mountain Bike

Another great activity on the mountain is biking.  The staff has equipped the Canyon Express lift to carry bikes up the mountain and you can ride the trails down.  For more information on mountain biking, check out the mountain’s brochure.
